The newly remodeled Clarion Inn includes a new business center
The newly remodeled Clarion Inn includes a new business center
Summer 2009 brought expanded lodging options to Grand Junction, a city already known for its healthy variety of meeting facilities and event venues. The city offers more than 2,900 available rooms (with more than 1,000 committable) and 84,000 square feet of meeting space at lodging properties both large and small.

The Holiday Inn previously located at 755 Horizon Drive has changed franchises and is now a Clarion Inn. After 43 years, the hotel transitioned from Intercontinental Hotel Group to Choice Hotels on June 1. With the change, the hotel has remodeled its lobby and front desk area, renovated its exterior, upgraded its bathrooms, furnished all new bedding and constructed a new business center. In addition, the hotel now offers rooms with both microwaves and refrigerators. The property has preserved the same ownership and staff.

The new Holiday Inn & Suites – Grand Junction Airport officially opened its doors in mid June. The 120-room hotel, located at 2751 Crossroads Boulevard, is conveniently situated off Interstate 70, less than a mile from Grand Junction Regional Airport.

The property offers an on-site restaurant serving breakfast and dinner, an indoor pool and fitness center and three meeting rooms with capacities ranging from 12 to 140 people. An aromatherapy machine in the lobby and hallways keeps the hotel fresh and inviting.

The new Holiday Inn & Suites offers all the modern trimmings, including wireless high-speed Internet, flat panel HD televisions and a business center. Guest rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with luxurious bedding and individual coffee and tea machines. Many rooms offer views of the stunning Grand Mesa. Other nearby attractions include Downtown Grand Junction, Colorado National Monument, Powderhorn Ski Resort and a variety of popular golf courses.

Both hotels are welcome additions to the Grand Junction area. The Holiday Inn & Suites offers new and exciting travel options for groups. The Clarion Inn has a new name and expanded amenities, but the same familiar and welcoming staff.
