Colorado State Parks has several different park areas within the Grand Junction area. The James M. Robb - Colorado River State Park includes five sections - Island Acres, Corn Lake, Colorado River Wildlife Area, Connected Lakes and the Fruita section. Highline Lake State Park is also closeby in Loma, and Vega State Park is about an hour away located adjacent to Grand Mesa. The state parks offer opportunities for a variety of outdoor activities and options for overnight stays in campsites, cabins and yurts.
