Grand Junction continues to attract big acts due to its location between Denver and Salt Lake City, just 3 ½ hours to either city. Keep an eye on the event calendar for famous bands and off-Broadway theater, to Colorado’s only lavender festival and the largest country music festival in the state. The Historic Avalon Theater is packed with concerts, dance, and musicals. The outdoor Amphitheater at Las Colonias is the perfect setting, along the river, to relax on the plush grass and breathe in the fresh mountain air.
