Start your trip off right with a tee time at one of Grand Junction’s five public golf courses. The green fairways set against the red sandstone cliffs make this one of the most uniquely picturesque places to break out the clubs. Named the best public course in Colorado, the Golf Club at Redlands Mesa is reason enough for a visit to Grand Junction. If you start early, the cool crisp morning will give way to a warm sunny back nine, leaving everyone thirsty for a tasty craft brew.

The Grand Junction might be home to 27 wineries, but it’s not the only thing fermenting in the area. Some of the finest craft breweries and distilleries in Grand Junction have made a name for themselves in Colorado’s beer scene, including local favorite Edgewater Brewery. Edgewater offers a spectacular outdoor space fully equipped with cornhole, picnic benches, and a fantastic view of the Book Cliffs. Or try Rockslide Brewery on Main Street, which boasts a twice-daily happy hour serving up craft beers brewed onsite alongside a mouth-watering menu.
Next, you’ll want to wander over to Lil’ Ole’ Winemaker in Downtown Grand Junction and talk to the owners about brewing beer and making wine. They’ve been doing it since the ‘70s and have helped many of the local vintners and brewers refine their craft.
Evening
There’s no better bang for your buck than a minor league baseball game. Enjoy America’s favorite pastime in Grand Junction’s temperate evening weather. The Grand Junction Jackalopes, a small league feeder team for the MLB's Colorado Jackalopes, guarantee a good time. Tickets and concession goods are affordable, leaving more money to stay longer in Grand Junction.

Start the morning in Downtown Grand Junction with a filling breakfast from Dream Café, where the food will put you on cloud nine. Seriously, the steak and jalapeno eggs benedict is killer. Once you’re fueled up, head across the street to Brown Cycles and pick up mountain bike rentals. It’s time to hit the trails at Lunch Loops. Here, you’ll find some of the best, most technically challenging mountain biking in Colorado. This network of interconnected trails forms a massive spider web of endless possibilities. While there is no shortage of epic trails here, perhaps none is more famous than the Gunny Loop.
After you’ve pedaled until your legs couldn’t pedal anymore, drop into to Handlebar Tap House, right down the road from the trailhead. Craft your burger and sip a beer from one of one the 25 on tap.
