Maxine Line’s Peanut Blossom Cookies

1-3/4 cups flour. *(For high altitude use 1 ½ cups of flour).

1 egg yolk

1 tsp soda

½ tsp salt

½ cup sugar

½ cup brown sugar (firmly packed)

½ cup margarine or butter

½ cup peanut butter

2 Tbsp milk

1 tsp vanilla

48 each Hershey’s candy kisses


Combine all ingredients except kisses in a bowl and mix. 

Shape into small balls and roll in extra sugar. 

Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. 

Bake at 375 (old oven bake at 350) for 8 - 10 minutes.

Top each cookie at once with a candy kiss. 

Press down so the cookie cracks around the edges.
