Grand Junction, Colorado on Outside TV

Outside TV’s Series, called Venturing Out: Park2Park, features three Grand Junction episodes

Grand Junction, Colorado (October 26, 2021) – Visit Grand Junction (Visit GJ), the City of Grand Junction’s Destination Marketing Organization (DMO), has invested in three episodes for the new Outside TV series, Venturing Out: Park2Park. Grand Junction's first of three episodes debuts at 7 pm MDT on October 31, with the consecutive two episodes slated for November 14 and 28. The show can be found by searching for the Outside TV channel on any smart or connected TV.

The show’s host, Raheim Robinson, is a creative director and climber, born and based in New York City. Spending more than a decade in fashion marketing and branding as well as outdoor brand consulting, he is now using his expertise and knowledge to create outdoor recreation content to engage travel-seeking audiences in new ways. The series showcases outdoor experiences that are often seen as too extreme or hard and present them in an accessible and engaging way. In the show, Raheim coaches novices to further their abilities and surprise themselves. The series aims to showcase public lands and encourages people to enjoy nature and experience how accessible and therapeutic the outdoors can be.

To complement the three episodes, Visit GJ produced six, 15-second commercials (two per episode), which highlights locals enjoying the Grand Junction area. The commercials will only be shown on the Outside TV streaming channel during the airtime noted above. Episodes can be viewed anytime via after the air date; however, the commercials will not be included.

Visit Grand Junction Director Elizabeth Fogarty said, “We are excited for the community to see their fellow residents representing the Grand Junction area in each of the commercials. Furthermore, the Park2Park show is an encouraging story, portraying Colorado residents who overcome a mental or physical challenge that has been holding them back from enjoying outdoor activities.”

The series has a multifaceted distribution strategy that includes linear and streaming through a partnership with Outside TV, as well as digital channels like Places. Travel. Ms. Fogarty added, “We encourage the community to tune in and support our locals who were a significant part of this project.”
