For traveling by air to Grand Junction, the Grand Junction Regional Airport connects visitors with six cities. 19 daily direct flights connect to Las Vegas on Allegiant, Dallas/Fort Worth on American Airlines, Salt Lake City on Delta, Denver and Houston on United and Phoenix on US Airways.
Located near I-70 and Horizon Dr., the airport is only about 15 minutes north of downtown Grand Junction. There are several ground transportation services to get to and from the airport. American Spirit Shuttles provides charters from Grand Junction Regional Airport to any destination in western Colorado or eastern Utah. In addition, buses run from 5:15 am to 7:15 pm by request Monday through Friday or on Saturday as a regular stop.
For travelers driving to the airport, parking is free for the first 30 minutes and $1 every additional 30 minutes. For long-term parking, it’s $8 per day.
Other amenities at the airport include a Subway Express where you can grab a sub on the run before your flight and a gift shop to pick up any Colorado souvenirs before you go. It’s also the home of the Western Colorado Flight Center, a flight school and airplane charter service, and the Commemorative Air Force Rocky Mountain Wing, a small World War II museum, which has a rare TBM “Avenger.”
