Colorado Heritage on Display at the Art Center

Art, artifacts and more celebrate Colorado history at the Grand Junction Art Center.

One of the first major arts and cultural organizations in Grand Junction, the Art Center in Grand Junction is a great place to take in Colorado's western heritage. Wall after wall of inspiring and uplifting works of art grace the center's collections.

The Art Center houses a permanent collection of nearly 300 historic and contemporary works documenting Western Colorado art and artists. View historic Native American artifacts, including detailed Navajo weavings and fine pre-Columbian ceramics, and be sure to visit the collection's contemporary section for a look at works by some of Colorado's most talented and reputable living artists.

The Art Center's permanent collection continues to grow, while maintaining its focus on documenting and preserving Western Colorado's artistic heritage, culture, and legacy. The center also hosts occasional workshops, year-round arts education programs for children and adults, exhibits by nationally and internationally renowned artists and more than 25 diverse art exhibits annually.

Admission to the Art Center is free on Tuesdays.
