Snow Trails, Trails Everywhere

Great skiing awaits you on these three Nordic trails

Snow falls early, piles up deep and lingers long atop Colorado's Grand Mesa at more than 10,000 feet above sea level. Three networks of cross-country ski trails crown this enormous, flat top mountain outside of Grand Junction. Skyway and Country Line trails are interconnected. Ward Creek, on the south side of the Mesa, is the most extensive system. Volunteers print a Nordic map and maintain the trails, which offer free access, although donations are welcome. The West Bench Trail and Old Mesa Road are marked but ungroomed winter routes.

Visit the Grand Mesa Nordic Council for more information about ski and snowshoe conditions on the trails.
