Skyward Mountaineering is an accredited climbing and skiing guide service through the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). This means they have undergone a comprehensive evaluation of risk management, guiding procedures, professionalism and ethical business practices. The certified guides lead ice, rock, and alpine climbing as well as backcountry skiing. They are an authorized permittee of Colorado National Monument, Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests, among others.

Bin 707 Foodbar Celebrated in the New York Times

Winter Art – Ice Sculpting
Ice sculpture competitions make their return on December 19-20! Grand Junction local and professional carver, Willy Tuz (owner of Colorado Fruit Designs), will carve ice masterpieces before your eyes at The Western Colorado Botanical Gardens. You may know him from several seasons on Food Network, where he has competed in Halloween Wars, carving masterful pumpkin works of art. Grand Junction’s culinary and craft beverage scene grew in delicious new directions this year. From inventive restaurants serving up bold flavors to renovated tasting rooms pouring spirits, seasonal wines, and creative brews, these fresh additions offer even more ways to savor the city.
Moody’s Underground
A sister restaurant to Moody’s Lounge, Moody’s Underground is opening soon! This spot will feature the quality food, drink, and atmosphere that Moody’s Lounge is known for, while hosting bands, comedy, and other live entertainment.
WestCo Brewing Company
This renovated restaurant brings craft beers and cocktails to a fusion of Tex-Mex and Japanese cuisine. Ride along the paved Riverfront Trail and stop in to refuel, since it is located alongside the Colorado River. They have a large dog-friendly patio so Fido can hang out with you!
Surf to Turf
Bringing land and sea together, Surf to Turf is a popular steakhouse and sushi bar. The Korean BBQ and Hot Pot experiences are all you can eat, so bring your appetite. The sushi and sashimi menu is extensive, with the Aircraft Carrier being your best value with 60 pieces of nigiri sushi – that truly is a boat load!
Stella’s Fried Pork Tenderloins

Trail Life Brewing
While Trail Life is not a new restaurant in Grand Junction, they continue to evolve their menu and brews to keep things fresh and innovative. They have recently added a dose of artistic flair by moving in an old-fashioned payphone that resided at the Roasted Coffee Shop which used to be open down the street. When you dial a number, you will hear a song from a local band that met, connected, or formed their band at the ol’ coffee shop.
