Disappearing Mac & Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of elbow macaroni

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • 1 teaspoon garlic

  • 2 tablespoons flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 1 cup Kroger brand half & half or whole milk

  • 3 tablespoons shredded parmesan cheese

  • 5 slices of Kraft American cheese

Instructions:

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package directions. Drain the water.

  2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Cook garlic about 1 minute, until fragrant. Whisk in flour and salt; cook for 1 minute.

  3. Slowly whisk in chicken broth and half and half. Bring to a low boil; allow to thicken.

  4. Stir in Parmesan and Kraft American cheese.
