The Art of the Craft Beverage

Distillery

Highlands Distillery

Highlands Distillery is Grand Junction’s premium distillery. They craftfully create cocktail masterpieces with quality ingredients, based in science, and add accoutrements that are of the utmost quality. Try the Redstone, a barrel aged specialty vodka, topped with a flaming sugar cube resting on a lemon wheel. Highland’s Distillery also likes to play with your palate not only in taste, but in sensation. Check out Flander's Hot Chocolate - this vodka drink is mixed with half and half, dutched chocolate, and espresso powder. Just like every hot chocolate should be, it is topped with marshmallow cream and garnished with a chocolate cookie.

Wineries and Tasting Rooms

Two Rivers Winery & Chateau

Inspired by the two rivers that come to a convergence in Grand Junction, the Colorado River and the Gunnison River, Two Rivers Winery & Chateau is intently focused on creating vivacious varietals. The location itself is something of an artform. As you approach the chateau down the long driveway, vineyards frame either side of you – like you have been transported to Napa Valley. Look up, and you are snapped back into reality and reminded that you are in Grand Junction, thanks to the majestic Colorado National Monument which overlooks this beautiful property. It’s no surprise that this chateau is a popular destination wedding location.

Breweries

Kannah Creek Brewing Company

Known as the Creek, Kannah Creek Brewing Company has been putting the craft in craft beer for over 15 years. It takes more than just a keen eye to make a tasty masterpiece and the Creek has cracked the code. Each of their 15 beers offer creativity in every glass and has been described as standing alone in the Sistine Chapel. They truly have a knack for creating art in a fluid form that feels like a religious experience.

Edgewater Brewery

Just like the name says, Edgewater Brewery stands tall next to the Colorado River just before it converges with the Gunnison River. Stop on by to enjoy a brew or two and take in the glowing orange Colorado sunset that everyone talks about in Grand Junction. There is also a huge lawn area with seating for those warmer winter days that Grand Junction often experiences. Nearby is a bike park, so consider earning your brews before stopping by Edgewater.

Ramblebine Brewing Company

Ramblebine is one of Grand Junction’s newest breweries, so you already know creativity flows from every tapped keg. From the taproom adorned with modern art, to the outdoor patio, there is always something to admire in this historic building built in 1919. The wide range of brews produced in their 10-barrel system includes a variety of IPAs, farmhouse ales, Belgian ales, fruited kettle sours, and seasonal brews.

Base Camp Beer Works

Inspired by the geological features and outdoor adventures in the Grand Junction area, Base Camp Beer Works taproom exhibits creativity in every aspect. In addition to the artistic elements of the taproom - mosaics, murals, a tiled monument, and repurposed weathered materials provide a visually pleasing environment. The walls also feature local artists that represent the outdoor lifestyle that Grand Junction is known for. Stop by and enjoy live music and brews designed for those who embrace art in liquids and textures.

The Rockslide Brewery & Restaurant

As Grand Junction’s original brewery, Rockslide Brewery & Restaurant has been cooking up delicious food and pairing it with perfectly designed beer. The same original three owners have been operating this joint for over 27 years! Surrounded by the vibrance of Art on the Corner, which shows off 115 outdoor sculptures and murals, Rockslide has matched every bite and sip with the aura of the arts. The owners’ dedication and sheer love for the craft beverage scene is evident in the comfortable tavern-like ambiance in the heart of Downtown Grand Junction.
