Starting now and continuing into early fall, the calendar is full of reasons to get outside and celebrate. Summer in Grand Junction boasts comfortably warm days and cool evenings, making it the perfect time to enjoy summertime festivals and outdoor recreation late into the night, especially with the sun lingering until just before 9 PM. Country Jam Colorado | June 26–28, 2025 | Mack, CO

A nationally renowned country music festival featuring Eric Church, Bailey Zimmerman, and Cody Johnson, only a 30-minute drive from Grand Junction. Enjoy three days of chart-topping performances, food vendors, and on-site camping.

Enjoy Independence Day with the wide, pedestrian-friendly sidewalks that provide plenty of room to watch as intricate floats, performances, and music saunter down the twists and turns of Main Street from 1st to 9th Street.

 

4th of July Celebration & Fireworks | July 4, 2025 | Lincoln Park, Grand Junction

Celebrate the 4th of July with daytime festivities at the pool and park, then gather for a fireworks show starting at 9:45 p.m.—a local favorite in Lincoln Park. The Jackalopes will play against the Northern Colorado Owlz in a thrilling game of baseball at Suplizio Field. The field is right next to Lincoln Park, so at the end of the game, fireworks light up the sky over the stadium.

Enjoy local produce and products grown right here in the Grand Junction area every Thursday from July 10 to September 25, 2025, in Downtown Grand Junction. This local farmer’s market has expanded to include makers' products, art vendors, yard games, and entertainment, including bands and dance groups - transforming it into Market on Main. If you are still hungry after taste-testing your way through the market, visit Food Truck Alley.

From carnival rides and concerts to livestock shows and rodeos, the fair delivers summer fun for the entire family. Kick up your boots and enjoy some of the highlights, including the CPRA rodeo on July 19th and the demolition derby on July 20th. Fun for the whole family can be had at the daily shows in the Salida Circus, including Scott’s World of Magic and other performances, like aerial.

Palisade Bluegrass & Roots Festival | June 2026 | Riverbend Park, Palisade

Set along the Colorado River, just a 20-minute drive from Grand Junction, this scenic music festival features bluegrass, Americana, and roots artists with jam sessions, artisan markets, and local food. Don’t worry if you missed this one, the 17th annual three-day event will be back in June 2026.
