There is nothing better than packing up the Winnebago and hitting the open road. So, before you hitch up and head out, grab your trusty travel map or ask Siri to navigate you to Grand Junction, Colorado pronto! Wide-open vistas of diverse geological landscapes await your arrival. Most of the area’s top sightseeing attractions are not only visible from within Grand Junction, they are a short drive from the following RV and camping basecamps.

 

RV Campgrounds in Grand Junction

Grand Junction has some of the best RV parks in the state – none of which require bouncing up a dirt road and risking a flat tire. Considering you are surrounded by over 1.5 million acres of public land, the respite you are searching for is literally a stone’s throw away.

 

Canyon View RV Resort

Grand Junction’s largest RV park, Canyon View RV Resort, offers views of sandstone canyons, dramatic vistas and the Book Cliffs, the largest continuous cliff face in the United States - proving that Canyon View is aptly named. Each of the 160 full hook-up sites are extra-long and wide to accommodate even the largest rigs and also includes a concrete patio with a picnic table and a fire ring.  Additionally, there is free WiFi, fiber optic upgrades available, and individual baths and showers. Canyon View offers resort amenities like a heated pool with a long ledge immersed in the water so you can layout and relax while remaining cool. There is an espresso bar, an on-site convenience store, and a community clubhouse with a lounge and a game room. Family-friendly attractions include a splash pad and playground, as well as recreational opportunities like pickleball, volleyball, soccer and a picnic pavilion. Four-legged family members will not be left out at this dog-friendly campground – there are two designated dog parks.  

 

Camp Eddy

Sitting on the edge of the Colorado River, Camp Eddy is Grand Junction's newest RV park. This premier campground has everything from spacious and full hook-up RV sites, to tiny homes and fully renovated airsteams. Wake up next to the soothing sounds of the river and try your hand at some of the outdoor activities that surround this great location. Within 300 feet from your campsite, you can walk or ride your bike along the Riverfront Trail, swim in the Colorado River, and even rent a paddelboard from Grand Junction Adventures. Camp Eddy is pet-friendly and has a designated off-leash dog park - making it a great place for your canine companions too! 

 

Mobile City RV Park

Mobile City RV Park is perfectly located at the intersection of two major travel routes – Highway 6 and Highway 50 and only one mile from I-70, so you don’t have to venture far off-course on your vacation. It’s conveniently close to Colorado National Monument, which is a must-see destination. It’s often referred to as the mini Grand Canyon. Rim Rock is a beautiful drive through this NPS site with many pull-offs that overlook breathtaking vistas. Mobile City provides pull-through sites, many are extra-wide, and 44 full hook-ups. The sites all have 30 amp/50 amp/120 amp hookups, cable TV and individual dump stations. Guests have access to bathrooms and showers, laundry facilities and the picnic pavilion. Pets are allowed and can enjoy time at the Puppy Park! 

 

Grand Junction KOA Holiday

Nestled on the western edge of Grand Junction is Junction West RV Park. Enjoy extra-wide pull-through sites that offer full hook-ups and picnic tables. Pop the slides out, kick your feet up and enjoy watching the kiddos horse around on the jungle gym or test their strength on the onsite climbing wall. If you’re hoping to set up camp for a couple of nights and explore all that Grand Junction has to offer, you are in the right place! Junction West offers tiled showers, private dressing areas, and an air-conditioned laundry room.
