Colorado National Monument

Kodels Canyon is west of the west entrance to the Colorado National Monument. To access trailhead, turn off along highway 340 across Dinosaur Hill. This trail will take you to Kodels Canyon and along the trail there is a cave that is closed off by wires. This cave was used for miners. Once on the very top of the trail there will be a view the distant bookcliff mountains.
