The Grand Mesa Nordic Council (GMNC) grooms and maintains 50 km of cross country ski trails on the Skyway, County Line, and Ward trail systems on the Grand Mesa. The Grand Mesa is the largest flat-topped mountain in the world, and has an elevation of over 10,000 feet. It is known for its long season and heavy snowfalls, often more than 300 inches per year. GMNC's trail systems include world class skate/classic ski trails as well as marked trails for ski touring.
