Experience Grand Junction's spectacular dark skies with the Western Colorado Astronomy Club. Throughout the year, the club hosts free public observing events where visitors can view the Milky Way, planets, constellations, and distant galaxies through telescopes while learning from experienced volunteers. No equipment or prior knowledge is needed. You can also enjoy the club's award-winning astrophotography exhibit at Grand Junction City Hall, showcasing breathtaking images of the night sky through January 28, 2027.
Twilight Carriage Ride
JR’s Carriage Service offers a variety of rides, including horse-drawn carriage rides through Colorado’s Wine Country. They also guide horseback riding tours in the Little Book Cliffs Wild Horse Range, where over a hundred wild mustangs roam free. It is one of only three wild horse preserves in the nation, with the goal to protect these free-roaming horses.
